Tōki (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. We designed Tōki as a minimalist, distraction-free sanctuary, and that philosophy extends to your data.
This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use the Tōki application.
- Data Collection & Storage
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. Everything you do inside Tōki—including your custom timer preferences, daily streaks, longest streaks, and total sessions completed—is saved locally directly on your device using native Apple storage frameworks (UserDefaults and localStorage). Your data never leaves your iPhone, and we have no access to it.
- Apple Health (HealthKit) Integration
Tōki offers the ability to write your completed meditation sessions (“Mindful Minutes”) to the Apple Health app.
- This feature is entirely optional and requires your explicit permission.
- We only request permission to write data to Apple Health. We do not read or request access to any other health data.
- Any data written to Apple Health is handled exclusively by Apple’s HealthKit framework securely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, share, or sell any HealthKit data.
- Analytics and Tracking
Tōki does not use any third-party analytics tools, tracking pixels, or crash-reporting software. We do not track how you use the app, when you use the app, or what features you interact with.
- Advertisements and Subscriptions
Tōki is a premium, one-time purchase. The app contains strictly zero advertisements, zero hidden subscriptions, and zero marketing trackers. Your attention is yours alone.
- iCloud Syncing (If Applicable)
If your device is configured to back up app data to your personal iCloud account, your Tōki settings and streaks may be securely stored in your iCloud backup. This is governed entirely by Apple’s privacy policy and is controlled by your iOS system settings. We do not have access to your iCloud data.
- Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. If any changes are made to how we handle data, we will update this page and modify the “Last Updated” date at the top. Because we do not collect your contact information, we cannot notify you directly of changes.
